Power
Unless we’re told otherwise, the 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning will continue to be powered by 2 electric motors that come standard with all-wheel drive. The Standard Range option is a 98 kWh battery that gets about 240 miles of range (previously 230) or the Extended Range which is a 131 kWh battery with a 320 mile range. With the Extended Range battery and dual-motors, Ford says the 2023 Lightning will produce 563 horsepower and 775 lbs-ft of torque. Payload is said to be around 2,000 pounds while towing (with the Max Trailer Tow package & Extended Range battery) can be as high as 10,000 pounds. An 80-amp charging station will be standard with the Extended Range battery, too.
As for the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV, it has two electric motors with 400 miles of range, (although this hasn’t been totally confirmed) in the top trim and can charge at 800 volts. The RST has a drive mode called WOW or Wide Open Watts that can make about 664 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque and an independent front and rear suspension adds to luxury and air springs will lower it by 2-inches. Towing abilities range from about 8,000-10,000 pounds.
