Power
The 2022 Ford Bronco’s standard engine is a turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder that produces 300 horsepower. It also offers an optional 2.7-liter V-6 that gets 330 hp. Both are paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission or a 7-speed manual is optional for the smaller engine. Other standard features include four-wheel drive, an independent front suspension and electronic front and rear locking differentials. The automatic transmission option gets about 20/22 mpg but the V-6 drops both of those numbers down to 17 mpg. A soft suspension with precise steering and a tow rating of 3500 pounds are some other perks with the 2022 Ford Bronco.
The 2022 Jeep Wrangler offers a handful of engines to choose from which all come standard with four-wheel drive. The standard is a 3.6-liter V-6 paired to a 6-speed manual that makes 285 horsepower and 17/25 mpg. Available engine options include:
- Turbocharged 2-liter 4-cylinder; 270 hp; 21/24 mpg
- 6.4-liter V-8; 470 hp; 13/17 mpg
- Turbocharged 3-liter diesel V-6; 260 hp; 21/26 mpg
- Turbocharged 2-liter 4-cylinder & 2 electric motors; 375 hp; 49 MPGe
Interior/Exterior
The 2022 Ford Bronco can be made-to-order, giving you the option of 2-4 doors, a soft or hard top, a convertible top and removable body panels and doors. The backseat has enough room for adult passengers to sit without being too cramped and the 4-door body style offers three seats in the back row with additional legroom. All of this adds up to a huge amount of comfort in this rugged vehicle. Other features include:
- Spacious backseat (even for adults)
- Decent legroom
- Lots of cargo space
- Available rubberized flooring & marine-grade vinyl
- Beadlock capable wheels
- Built in rack in dashboard for smartphone/GoPro
- Optional leather seats
- 35-inch mud-terrain tires
Cabin space and good visibility are not strong suits for the 2022 Jeep Wrangler but, like the Bronco, the top and doors are removable. Take a look inside and you’ll find a small dashboard with physical controls, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing if your tech goes haywire. Unfortunately, cargo space is limited as the rear seats don’t fold all the way down. The 4-door model would be the best option for you if you need just a little more space.

Conclusion

While the 2022 Jeep Wrangler offers more engines to choose from, it doesn’t offer a lot of standard niceties for the price it asks for. Come take a look at the 2022 Ford Bronco today.
